Playtech iPoker,
or a poker platform of your own?
The short answer
Which to choose
Choose Playtech iPoker if
- You want shared liquidity across European brands, or a standalone room, from a supplier you may already use for casino.
- Playtech hosting the platform suits you, along with its player-value tools and promotions engine.
- Your markets are among the many where Playtech's poker already holds a licence.
Run your own PokerEnginePro platform if
- You want the platform, the players and the data to stay with you whatever happens to any network.
- You need games, table features and limits set market by market — from Stud and Badugi to bomb pots and run it twice.
- You want to host it yourself, in your cloud or your jurisdiction, or have it hosted for you.
Where Playtech iPoker is strong[1][2][3][4]
- A network running since 2004, with about 20 skins including bet365, William Hill, Betsson, Grosvenor and Svenska Spel, and over 80 brands on Playtech's poker.
- Three ways in — network, standalone and white label — and 1.5 million unique players across the network in 2023, by Playtech's count.
- Licences across Great Britain, Malta, Italy, France, Spain, Denmark, Belgium, Sweden and more; in North America it powers FanDuel's poker in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ontario.
- Player-value tools — churn prediction, lifetime value, segmentation — and an event-based promotions engine.

Who should choose which
iPoker suits an operator that already buys from Playtech, wants a regulated European pool or a hosted standalone room, and is content for Playtech to run the platform and set its roadmap.
Your own platform suits an operator who wants poker to be its own product: its own lobby, its own formats, its own rules per market and its own player relationships, on infrastructure it controls.[1]
iPoker in 2025 and 2026: who came and who went
iPoker is growing and changing at once. PMU brought its French poker to Playtech in February 2025, and partypoker's French and Spanish rooms moved onto iPoker in September 2025. Codere launched an iOS poker app in Mexico in February 2026. FanDuel became Playtech's first North American poker licensee, running its poker in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ontario.
In the other direction, Betfair left iPoker on 13 August 2026 to join the PokerStars Network, with Paddy Power and Sky to follow. On a network, the pool you rely on is shaped by other operators' decisions.[5][8][6][3][4][7]
Liquidity without a network
A platform of your own starts with your own players, and that is the honest gap against any network. PokerEnginePro closes it the way standalone rooms do: one pool across all of an operator's markets where the rules allow, tournaments with satellites and guarantees, and play money that brings players to the tables.
- Satellites and tickets feeding bigger events.
- Fields of up to 10,000 players in one tournament.
- A social casino built in: chip store, daily chips, missions and rewarded ads.
